Chilli Padi Restaurant.. Promotion after renovation !!
I got to know from a client that Chilli Padi is offering a 50% discount on all food and drinks as promotion after renovation for 3 days which is 28th, 29th and 30th September. As the place is really near my office, we decided to have our lunch there on the later 2 days to enjoy this special promotion.
To my surprise, big crowd was there to queue for seat. For both of the days, we waited for at least half an hour for the table and another half an hour for the food to be served. Due the crowd, the operation of the cafe is kinda messy. Wrong order, omission, wrong bills.... everything is possible.
For the first day, I ordered a fish and chips set at a nett price of RM5.90. Worth it!! My colleague ordered a seafood fried rice and juice. She had the food and drinks. Upon payment, the cashier at the front counter argued that we didn't order any drinks and insisted that we only need to pay for the food. Fine!! We just treat the drinks as a free gift then.
For the second day, I ordered a chicken chop set at a nett price of RM5.90. Worth it!! Worth it!! My colleague ordered the same with a iced chocolate blend. Upon serving, the waiter handed us 2 sets of chicken chop and 2 iced chocolate blend. She insisted that these are our order. As a result, I tried the iced chocolate blend in the cold cafe..... cool!! Upon payment, again the weird cashier argued that we only ordered one iced chocolate blend and again she insisted to collect the money for one iced chocolate blend only. I was the one to get the 'free gift' this round.
A 50% promotion plus some major and minor error around, I estimated that the cafe might make a loss in these 3 days... hehe!! Now I realise why the big crowd were willing to wait.... it's for the 50% discount plus free gift...hahaha!!

Last but not least... the 'free gift'!!
Q3 Les Mills Launch at Fitness First
This was my first time to experience the Launch of the Les Mills Group Exercise at Fitness First. It was a 1-week event which held quarterly but I opted to join 3 days of weekends classes at IOI Mall on 27th September, Menara Summit on 3rd October and Menara MBF on 4th October. Such an enjoyable experience. Got to know lots of instructors and members during the event.
For the 3 days, I joined Body Step, Body Attack and Body Jam. I'm so love the new Body Jam Release. Really Fantastic and to date I've did it for almost 10 times but I still like it very very much! Body Step and Body Attack are fun but killing.... haha. No doubt, these classes are good in building up stamina to my maximum.
Food and beverages are served for members. Some free stuff were there for grabbed as well. I got a little bear and a wristband from the event. Such a happening day. We, the 3 sisters enjoyed ourselves very very much!!
After the Body Jam Class at IOI Mall.. with the sifu-s: Jason, Leonora, Zarina and Shirlyn!! We Rock!!

BBQ at Boss's house
This was the first time after I've been working for so long in Cheng & Co that Mr Liew invited the staff in our department to have a BBQ session for mooncake festival celebration at his house on September 26. Really kinda surprise on that arrangement.
As a return for his free treat on the off peak celebration, we planned to treat him for the BBQ instead. All the food and equipment for BBQ is prepared by us. As Mr liew was inviting some other partners to this event as weill, he suggested us to buy some satay..... Erm... think he is worried that at the end of the day we are unable to grill any food for his invited guests. The invited guests are Dr Paul and his wife, Mr Chua and his wife and Steven's family. Steven is so generous to contribute RM200 for this event. His money is utilised to buy 100pcs of chicken wings and a bucket of KFC whereas Mr Chua bought us a bottle of red wine.
I'm not involved in the BBQ planning stage at all as there are lots of colleagues were helping up for it. Too many cooks, spoil the soup..... I don't want to be the one who spoil the plan... hehe.
When I reached Mr Liew's place, to my big surprise, there was lotsssssssss of food were served. For BBQ, there were fruits, 100pcs of chicken wings, fish, sweet potatoes, fishballs, sausages, ham etc. On the other hand, Mrs Liew prepared lots of food for the event fried noodles, dessert, mooncakes, apple pie, curry chicken etc. Together with the pre-ordered 500 satays, i guess this would be a big BBQ session with hundreds of guests around.
Then colleagues told me that the guests were all there already. It's only around 20 of us. Oh my God!! Mountains of food for 20 of us!!!
A rough calculation came to my mine in no time. Averagely each of us has to cover 5 pcs of chicken wings, 1 KFC, half of a fish, 25 satay etc....... That's terrible. Such a weak estimation for the event as obviously there would be lots of food wastage. I somehow feel that all of us are treated as if we are just back from Africa.
At the end of the BBQ session, the left over food are a lottttttt more than those finished by us. Everyone is forced to pack lotssssss of food to bring home.
I feel so lucky that this BBQ session was held at Mr Liew's house. Mr Liew didn't really comment much on the event. If the same scenario was taken place at Mr Chua's place, I'm sure and I'm guaranteed that Mr Chua would shout out, "Bad planning! Bad planning! Bad planning!".

Pain! Pain! Pain!
First day of Hari Raya, it was my parents 34th aniversary. So, our family went for a dinner celebration at TGI Friday. It is a nice place with great environment for Western Food. Reached home late at 10.30pm night.... and the 'pain' from my back shoulder start. This time, pain killer doesn't work at all.
I tried to check 'it' thru the mirror. The swelling part turned big and red. The pain continues.... I planned to see doctor immediately but this is Hari Raya Day. Lots of clinic not opened. My appointment with Sentosa Medical Centre is on the coming Wednesday. I have no choice but opted to go on bed immediately. Sometimes.. sleeping is even better than medicine. But this time, it doesn't work and I couldn't sleep well. I felt the pain, I felt the heat.........
Second day of Hari Raya, I went to clinic in the early morning. Mr Doctor took a look on my back and said, "Ok, come into the surgery room to WASH it"..... Wash??? May be Mr Doctor intended to cold the swelling part. Fine, I followed the nurse in charged to go into the surgery room. I laid on my stomach and waited for the Doctor.
Here come Mr Doctor with a trolley of surgery tools. Huh?? Wonder why so many tools are needed for washing purpose. The doctor gave me a towel and asked me to hold it tight. He applied something cold in liquid form on my back and after that... i felt the pain on my back. Ahhhhhh..... he cut my back without my knowledge. It's PAINNNNNNNNNN.... 入心入肺...... which means I felt the pain until I can feel my heart beats faster than usual and breathlessssss.... The few minutes passed by as if it was few hours long. After everything is done, the doctor covered the cut on my back with bandage. After the minor surgery, I laid on the bed for a while before I can lift my body up again coz I'm seriously in pain.
Mr Doctor told me that the cut is very small and that's why no stitch is required. It will recover by itself. I was advised: 1, to re-visit him after 2 days to check my recovery status. 2, not to take any poisonous food in this period of recovery. 3, Not to expose the cut on my back into water... ermm?? How am I gonna bath then???
The good news is... I noticed that the swelling part is recovering and my back is back to shape again but the bad news is I observed that the cut is still quite deep and seems no recovery at all. Hopefully it is getting better as time goes by.
Well, the surgery was there all in a sudden without any preparation. Now I know this, 'The Doctor, The Liar' and I'll always remember this.

Sick
On the first day of September morning, once I wake up to start my working day, I found that the back of my body was in pain. The first thing that came to my mind was I might hit by something on the day before. It was just a common thing for a clumsy girl like me.
During shower time, I noticed that there was a big swelling part at the back of my body near the left shoulder. I was shocked. The swelling is even larger than a 50cent coin. OMG!!! So worry... I'm worry that it would be a symptom for an internal sickness. Dare not to tell my parents about it as just don't want the elders to worry on me.
The following day, i visited a doctor nearby during the office hour. The doctor told me that this probably was an insect bite and at the same time I was given some medicine to apply. I was advised to re-visit him if i am not recovered within 2 weeks time. This doctor really relieve my worries alottttt.
But today, after 7 days..... I can only see a minor recovery and very very little improvement on the swelling part and the pain is still never-ending. So, I decided to visit to other doctor again. This is the doctor that I used to visit all the time. After due checking, Mr Doctor confirms to me tha the swelling part was actually 'epidermal cyst'. Ohhh.... what is that?? Really have to idea on it!! The doctor is so kind and patient to explain the situation to me. In layman term, we should say it as 'big pimples', i guess.....
The doctor set a time frame for me. He gave me some medicine for consumption and for apply. If after 7 days, the swelling part still not improved, he is going to arrange a minor surgically removal operation for me. He said the specialist is going make a very little cut on my swelling part and remove the inner poisonous stuff from it. Upon completion, they will stitch the cut. Seems sooooo scary!!!!!!! I feel like fainted!!
7 days..... wish I can recover fully in 7 days time...... I wish for a miracle...... *fingers cross*

Off peak Celebration 2009
This was a day to remember. I've been working in Cheng & Co for the past 6 years and this is the first time that we were having our off peak celebration dinner. Mr Liew, our Senior Executive Partner cum our HOD of audit department spend us a dinner at Sam You Restaurant of Serdang.
The table for 13 is booked a week before the celebration. After office hour, we directly headed to the restaurant. The traffic is quite smooth along the way and we managed to reach there in 15 minutes time.
I always find that Mr Liew is a friendly person especially after office hour. He is so gentleman to serve and take care of each of us during the dinner. He further added that he wished not to talk about office stuff after office hour... that's fantastic!!
The whole dinner only took about 1 hour plus. But I enjoyed it very much..... not solely because of the free treat but also serves as a chance for me to know about other colleagues within my department. I seldom talk to them before this as most of us always based at client's place. We don't have much chance and time for communication. This was the day where I get to know all my brothers and sisters in my department!!
