Colleague from US...

Finally ... it's Saturday!! Such a long week...
Tuesday morning, a new colleague, Phillip joined our Company as internship trainee. As usual, the customer service staff took him around to introduce him to all of us. We gave a friendly hand shake and went thru a simple introduction session, as usual. Right after that, we are told that he was back from US on Monday.
Omg.... is a sensitive country at the moment and he just reported to work without taking the 7 days home quarantine. All of us rush into washroom to wash our hands. Pity to those who is at the third floor, especially those who in pregnant now. Mr Lam is kind and responsible enough to speak on behalf of us to the management on this issue. But the result was a disappointed one. According to our Admin Manager, which represents our Company, mentioned that there was no proof that we as the staff can request the Company to instruct Phillip to have 7 days home quarantine. Ermm... I don't really understand what's this means but I'm quite confirm that no action and instruction will be directed from management to him.
Admin Department was worried about the same issue as well and as a result they complaint verbally to one of our boss, Mr Liew. Mr Liew relied that since this is the issue, the management should have stop him to work at the very first day and if we stop him now (on his second working days) , this will hurt his feeling.... How about our worries and feeling then??
I was doing field audit at client's place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I claimed myself a lucky one as I don't have to stay in office all the while. I supposed to stay back at office on Thursday but finally decided to have a day off (Emergency Leave). Prevent is better that cure maa!!
Since Phillip is our new colleague. He always reaches office by 8.30am and I opted to step into office around 9.00am... just to avoid to share the same lift with him.... Hehe!! Heard he is late to office on Thursday. Everyone thought he is on MC.. hehe!! Luckily he still strong and healthy ... just being late to office on personal matter. Hahaha!!!
So... finally this is Saturday. The coming Monday will be his 7th day reach KL. Good news!!
But Mr Chua went to Australia yesterday and will be back on Tuesday. Another bad news !!

Miracle 09 at The Curve

The schedule of the Event :
My tax-exempted coupons :

The wristband for Body Jammers!!Joined the Miracle 09 Event which is organised by Fitness First at The Curve, Piazza last Saturday. This charity event started at 11.00am and ended at 9.00pm. There are lots of activities held on that days namely the launch of Les Milles classes, Dance Tribe, charity auction, Miracle 09 merchadise and gaming booths etc. Since it's a charity event, all the donation and cash received from selling of Miracle 09 merchandise will be donated to the charity organisation.

A very meaningful event. We bought RM90 coupon for the event. In conjuction with this event day, Fitness First was doing its Launch for the Les Milles Programmes GX class at the same day as well.

My whole family attended the event together. This also served a great chance to let my parents know what I normally did in gym. Without visualisation, it is kinda difficult to explain to them what is Gx class and how we did Body Step, Body Attack, Body Jam and Body Combat. They sometimes just can't imagine why i can stay in gym for others... and guess this would be the best time to show them.

We reached the place at around 11.00am and is just right after the opening ceremony, the show kick start with launch of Body Step Class. Shirlyn is one of the member of the launching team. I didn't really watch the Body Attack new release as we were having our lunch time at Kim Garry at the same time. I missed the Body Balance as well. Reason being it was drizzling at the same time and I opted to hide in Fitness First. After that was the show time of Body Combat and Simone is in action within the launching team as well. Cool!!! So miss her action and i always love seeing her doing punches and kicks.... so cool!!

Last but not least was the Launch of Body Jam 49. Both Shirlyn and Cheryl were in the team. But I personally prefer the later. Cheryl's movement is always graceful and great. My sisters and I joined that class. Really a big crowd of people... get kicked and kissed during the class.... The new Body Jam is quite difficult compared to the existing one. The movements are so tricky and fast. But I like it.......!!

We went off at around 7.00pm right after the end of Body Jam Class. Great show!! Great event!!

我吃‘霸王餐’的日子

Last Wednesday marked the end of my days at one of my beloved client's place this year. I've been working for one month there and I was served with breakfast, lunch and tea-break everyday for free. Such a wonderful place to work for. Although the workload was pretty heavy but the free meal managed to compensate everything.... Can you imagine, I don't have to spend even a single cents during my course of audit for the whole month... Cool!!!! But of course, I have to take hot and spicy and oily Malay food for lunch lorrr, no other choice.... Give and take lor!!!

Now I know what does it mean by 'segregation of duty' ....

I have been auditing in the same client's place for the past 1 month. Really appreciate that the client treat us well by providing a nice conference room for our working team.

From our study of its internal control system, they are actually exercising systematic processes and procedures from operation to strategic management level in term of daily routine works and reporting mechanism.

Everything seems impressive until one day.... We find that there is water leaking from the ceiling. Immediately we reported to the Accountant as she is the one that we normally dealt with during our course of audit. The accountant is kind enough to tell us that she is not familiar with maintenance work procedure but she will inform her assistant for further action. Then her assistant came to us and inform us that maintenance stuff is actually in charged by administration department and she would report to the respective department immediately.

After few minutes, an officer from administration department visited the conference room and find that the leaking problem is too serious until the floor is all wet. He promised us that he would take an immediate action on this matter. After around an hour of waiting, a cleaner step into the room with 2 buckets to fill up the water dropping from ceiling.

The cleaner told us that the problem is very serious and can't be solved by just placing some buckets there. She would proceed to report to the maintenance department. Finally someone from the maintenance department was there..... Thank God!!! But.... he just have a simple look at the situation and told us that this building is actually still under warranty but he would report to the development department for further action. Good!! Then we waited for the development department to come with their solution this time. After about few minutes, someone from development department finally paid a visit here and all he did was just to snapshot few pictures. According to him, he would contact the contractor and request them to repair it.....

That's all for the issue.... is 'segregation of duty' really good in operation?? I really doubt about that. I somehow feel that it actually worsen the effectiveness in this issue!!!
