Inflation effect

I can feel the inflation. I feel that the price for everything in the market is increasing everyday. I need to incur extra during my shopping time, during my lunch time, dinner time etc. Recently I heard that lots of my friends commented that they didn't feel much as a result of the inflation.

I'm in doubt. Why I'm the only one to feel it?? After some chatting session with friends, now I understand it clearly. Most of them are using credit card to cover their daily expenses. They are credit cards supporter. Well, I also own credit card but I don't really love using it. For me, I always feel that I seriously can't control my budget every time I swipe my credit card. I don't have any heartache feeling and instead I feel good coz I can accumulate the points for gift redemption. Should I cover all my spending by using credit card?? or should I keep using cash and keep 'suffering' the inflation effect??

Which one is better??

鸡丝河粉 of Old Town Kopitiam

鸡丝河粉 of Chilli Padi Cafe Restaurant

I tried this same food at 2 different places this week. Both of them situated at Kuchai Lama and have the similar pricing. The second 'looked' nicer than the first but in my opinion, the first is a lot more delicious than the second... hehehe!!

Dinner @ Empurau Restaurant

Was invited by Alice to join her for dinner again. She recommended Empurau Restaurant (formerly known as Chuai Heng Restaurant) at Kuchai Lama. Reason being the restaurant is doing a promotion now on 50 dishes with RM9.00 nett each. Kinda cheap as the dishes include prawn, pork, venison, squid, chicken.... wide range of choices.

We ordered fried squid, chicken in pot, mix vege and prawn. 4 dishes for 3 person. As usual we ended up unable to finish the food again. However, the food served here not only with reasonable price but also yummy yummy!!! The environment is good and comfortable. Since Alice knows the chef well, the chef served us fruits in f.o.c. So good.....!! Hehehe...

I'll go there again with my family once I'm free as the food there is really worth. The rice is charged at RM1.50 per bowl. Titbits and tea are priced at RM3.00 respectively. Our bill goes to RM49.50. Really reasonable.... Must try other food next time.

Disney on Ice

What a surprise!! I was there to watch this fantastic show last Sunday. I am offered a ticket of RM228 for free from Cheng & Co.. Heard that these tickets are actually distributed to the committee members of anuual dinner 2008 but I'm so lucky enough that Koh can't make it on that day. So, Sherine gave me the ticket. Cool!!

I love Disney Cartoon ever since I was a kid. Few days back before the show, I dreamed that someone gave me the ticket.... this time the dream really comes true... haha. The theme for the show is Disney on Ice ~ Princess Wishes.

The show started with Tinker Bell skating around on the ice rink to welcome the host for the show, Mickey and Minnie Mouse.... my favourite cartoon. They are soooo cute. As we are sitting at second row, I can even clearly see the ice splashing out during their skating.

Mickey and Minnie chit-chatted about the Disney Princess Wishes and how their sweet dream came true. They kicked start the show by discovering the Whole New World with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin's chase and race skating session in market place. This is the first performance of the day and I was so attracted by the show. Their skating move are so gentle and graceful. Next performance was children favourite bedtime story of Snow White with 7 dwafts and I can say that this is the most 'cute' and colourful performance.... Everyone was happy to see Snow White found her true love on the ice rink. After that, Beauty and the Beast were there with their nice performance and song. Little Mermaid, Ariel cames right before the break time. Most of the circus-typed stunt action were shown in this part of the show....... The background of the show themed... "Under the Sea... Under the Sea!!"

After the one hour show, there was a 15 minutes break time. Right after the break, Mulan and the General were there in action. Mulan, our heroin from China, skates with her martial art.... some kicks and punch involved, kinda interesting. Next would be Sleeping Beauty's turn and last but not least, the Cinderella..... Cinderella and Prince Henry show lotsssss of outstanding skating action. I can't stop clapping and clapping and clapping my hands.... fantastic.

Towards the end of the show, the 7 couples back in action again with Tinker Bell, Mickey, Minnie and Goffy.... Ohh.... so happenings!!!! I love the show..... its really great to watch it for free. Beautiful and magical moment of ice skating show night!!

Body Jam 48.... Fantastic!!

Went to Fitness first at Menara Maxis again yesterday. It was the launching of Body Jam 48 and members are allowed to bring friends to join the event. Cool..... I joined the class with my younger sister again as she is the members there. My elder sister went to True Fitness of Pavillion to join the launching of RPM coz True Fitness was doing an open day at the same time.
I took LRT to Menara Maxis. Saw my favourite Body Jam instructor, Cheryl again in the station from far. She was heading to Menara maxis also. Omg..... she might be part of the launching team. I was getting excited and excited.
Reached Fitness First at around 7.00pm. We, my sister and I, after changing and keeping our backpac in the locker, headed towards the exercise studio. The class started at 7.30pm sharp and conducted by 3 instructor, Leonora, Stephen and of coz Cheryl. The class is so packed... around 70+ participants were there. The Body Jam 48 is super cool. The dance movement really fantastic. Have lots of fun with the three instructors. The members are hot, responsive and participative..... We didn't join the photograph and refreshment session after the launch coz kinda tired after the workout session. We just headed back home directly.
I made a wrong decision yesterday. I shouldn' t go to Body Jam Launching at FF of Menara Maxis. I shouldn't join Cheryl's class at the mean time. She shouldn't be part of the lauching team....... Coz after seeing Cheryl back in action yesterday, after joining this fantastic class, I have a strong desire to join the Body jam class again................Help!! I just can't resist, I'm just loving it!!

Lunch at Tony Roma's @ The Gardens

Since I am conducting a statutory audit at The Gardens North Tower today, decided to have lunch at Tony Roma's of The Gardens. This is my first visit and I ordered their promotion set lunch of roasted garlic and rosemary chicken.

The mentioned set comes with main course, salad, french fries, bread, refillable drinks and soup of the day. I personally think that it's really really worth to have lunch there. The whole set costs me RM19.50, tax inclusive. The portion is really really huge!! This is a good place with nice environment for lunch once a while... coz cannot afford to have lunch here everyday!!

Bumped with my ex-colleague, Catherine Kim during my course of audit at the Secretary Office before the lunch. She is working at BDO Binder currently. She still looked the same as previously... cool and steady. We chatted for 1-2 minutes before she left the office.

2nd day of Free Trial at TF, Taipan

We joined the morning Body Jam class today. The class is conducted by Caroline. As this is a morning class, again not much members turned up. Only less than 10 of us. My sisters prefer a class with less members but myself prefer a class with moderate number of members of around 20+.
During the Body Jam session, her instruction is not so clear and her movement also a bit kelam-kabut. I did the class with my own memory for the movements on those tracks. Thanks to Cheryl and Simone on your BJ coaching previously or else I'll stone in the class today. I really can't pick up Caroline's instruction at all. I can see some of the members looked so nervous in the class.
I supposed she should be a very new instructor. But after the class, the instructor told us that she been to MF once to teach BJ two years back. Now I remember her....... Poor thing, seems like she doesn't gain any improvement since two years back...
Happened to meet Jack Wong there, my Body Combat instructor 2 years back. He is now the GX Coordinator for TF. So surprise and happy that he still remember us. He is my first Body Combat instructor. Glad to meet him again. He still as fit as before.
My sister continued to join the Bodyvive new launching session. She seems enjoying it very very much. This class is generally designed for the 40's and above. I think she is getting closer to the 40's. Hahaha.....

Started the free trial at True Fitness, Taipan

Started my 10 days free trial session at True Fitness, Taipan yesterday. The entrance to the club is free for 10 days but since my sister and I only know using Kesas Highway to head to USJ and hence we need to pay for RM8.80 toll fee for the whole return journey. Kinda expensive for each visit to the club.
Attended Body Combat and Body Jam class yesterday. Body Combat class is conducted by Alex. Quite a funny instructor but the class seems not so happening. Only around 10 members turned up. The instructor even has time to comment on our Body Combat skill during the class. He said my punch is sharp and fast. I'll take it as compliments. BC is one of my favourite Group Exercise Program. I'll keep practising it as this is also a good way to ease my frustration.
Body Jam class was conducted by Jeremy. He is quite good in giving instruction generally. His movement is a bit funny. You can't see the beauty and art of dancing from him. His movement is not smooth enough generally. The members here are a bit shy typed. Again we did the combo with the song of Toca's Miracle. Can see the difference of FF and TF obviously.

Body Step @ True Fitness, Taipan

Went to True Fitness of Taipan with my elder sister today. Met with the membership consultant, Eddy. He is quite pushy in selling the membership to us. Said that is the last day for those promotion laa, must do the booking now laa, next week the club will increase the price laa... blah, blah, blah....

We requested for 7-days free trial before enrolment. But he proposed to give us 1 day free trial and told us that he will give us the free trial after our enrolment. To me, his reaction and marketing strategy is quite weak. No free trial before enrolment clearly shown that he himself also not that confident with his own Company.... sort of worry that we wouldn't satisfy after the trial period. Anyway, after due negotiation, he agreed to give us 7 days free trial period.

My sister went for the RPM class. The class was conducted by her favourite instructor. So for her, this is a 100% perfect class. I joined Body Step class conducted by my old friend Raymond. He taught Body Jam in MF last time. That's where i know him. Raymond is a nice guy but I still think that he needs to polish more on his teaching skill.... he still acted bit kelam-kabut during the teaching session. The GX studio here is bigger if compared with FF but its layout is a bit weird with lots of 'tiang' in between the studio which certainly would block the members' view if they stand behind it. Kinda funny design.

I'm going to join Body Combat and Body Jam class tomorrow. Hopefully no disappointment this time.

Fitness First of Menara Maxis

I went for a visit to Fitness First at Menara Maxis with both of my sisters last Sunday. My younger sister is a member of the club. So she gets her membership consultant to bring us in as his guest to visit the club. The membership consultant, Fazly is really a nice guy. He brought us into the club without registering our details and he invited us as his guest to accompany my sister to come for the work out session more often.

Although the place is not really big but the design is quite presentable. Soft drinks are free for consumption. We kicked start our work out session by joining the Body Step class. The class is so fun and the members are so responsive. I really sweat a lot towards the end of the class. This is my first time of doing Body Step. I find it very interesting. Although the steps are quite repetitive for every track we did but the song itself is cool.

After that I observed the Body Vive, Body Pump, Body Attack and Yoga classes. Body Vive is a slow pace class which is suitable for the 40's. Body Pump is good but myself just don't like it. I just don't really like those exercise that involve weight training. I did Body Attack once. Feel very funny with its movement. I have to hold my laugh during the class. Yoga classes seems has the less response among all.

My elder sister joined the RPM class. She enjoyed it very very much. Heard she commented that the environment in the spinning studio is great. She like it very very much.

After our simple lunch, three of us joined our favourite class of Body Jam. The class is supposed to be conducted by an instructor called Su Lin but heard she injured her knee. Cheryl was the one to cover the class. Omg.... my favourite Body Jam instructor in the house!! I was so happy to have chance to join her class again after missing her class for more than one whole month. She too felt surprised to see us here. I really felt great during the 1 hour Body Jam session. It is really great to do Body Jam at FF than MF. The members are so responsive and participative. What a coincident that Cheryl did lots of my favourite tracks.... Although I was not feeling well on that day but I think Body Jam really cure. I felt that I'm energetic and powerful during the class.

I have a feeling. I think I'm in love with Body Jam again. Coz I have now non-stop thinking of Body Jam since these two days. I so miss it... i miss it very very much..... I'm just loving it.... Help!!!
I don't like strawberry jam, I don't like traffic jam ... but I just love Body Jam very very much!!

the GX timetable for Menara Maxis....

R.O. Games.... is it really that popular??

I am auditing a Company which is running business of R.O. games. Heard from a colleague that R.O. games is a very very popular online game once upon a time. But I'm not a big fan of online games all the while. So I'm not that familiar with this term. But I saw the poster on the R.O. games are so attractive.... Really really like it. So colourful and beautiful!!

Pre-birthday lunch with my sister

March 2 was my elder sister, Nikki's birthday. A day before, we went to Mid Valley for shopping. She planned to buy some clothes for her work out session. Studio R and RSH were having grand sales which are just nice for my sister to grab her favourite Nike product at a mark down pricing there. To my surprise, the 2 mentioned outlet is crowded.... Such a shopping carnival feel !!

After the shopping session, we went for our lunch. Mid Valley is a great place for lunch with variety choices but it's definitely not for weekends. Every restaurant is packed with customers. Everywhere have to queue... have to wait.... have to be patience.

We ended up having our lunch at Sushi King. The only reason that we have our lunch there is because we don't have to queue for seats. Seats are readily available right in front of the sushi bar. For the food wise, it's just as usual and nothing to shout about. Instead of cutting the birthday cake, this time my sister cut the sushi at Sushi King instead. At least this is something different for her birthday this year. Hahaha!!!

My last RPM class in Myfitness

28/2/2009 marked as a historical date in my diary. I attended the last RPM (cycling) class in Myfitness. The class is conducted by Johnathon. From March onwards, there are not gonna be any Les Mills RPM class there as the gym decided not to renew the license for RPM and Body Jam anymore. Such a bad news!!!

I gave my best to this last class. I enjoyed every moment of RPM... enjoyed the music, enjoyed the team spirit, enjoyed the sweating, enjoyed the shouting...... It's all saved in my memory now. 'RPM'..... I'll be back!!!!
