I think they are right....

Had a short chatting session with 2 friends recently. Topics are on career development.

First person told me that she is resigning from her current position. Reason being her contribution and sacrificing are not being recognised and appreciated by her Company which highly disappointed her. If I'm not mistaken, she has been attached with that Company for more than 2 years.

Another person told me that her Company is paying her peanuts every month. So, she will definitely do her part completely in the office but she will left the office at 6.00pm sharp everyday and proceed with her part time job which aggregately resulted her earning as much as a manager level employee.

They conveyed a great message to me. As long as we are an employee, we can't expect the Company to appreciate and to recognise our contribution. So, the best way to guarantee our survive in life is to secure a part time job. But.... I'm master in nothing!! So, I'll start to plan further ahead by now......

From an old friend, Eunice....

Received a call from an old friend, Eunice. We have actually lost contacts for about one year. I think I did text her on some big and small occasion but didn't receive any reply from her.

Actually we got to know each others in around five years back. That was my first time to go JB for an outstation assignment. Eunice and her colleagues are so nice to me. She treated me very well. During my few days's assignment in JB, she never treat me as stranger, instead taking great care on us. She is really really nice.

Just received a call from her this morning. She called me at my office number. According to her, she has called me for months but I went out to client's place for field audit. Yes, she is right. I have been out for audit since January and today is actually the only day that I stayed in office and she managed to contact me. So lucky that I'm still attached with the same company coz she lost her mobile phone some times ago and unable to trace my contact number anymore.

So warm and sweet to talk to her. Now I got her in my MSN list and so did her. Then I believe we won't lose contact anymore... coz now, she will always in my list and my mind. Hehehe... We can contact each other easily. I am so glad about that!! Hope the MSN can guarantee our friendship infinitely and forever......

She has gone!!

What a sad news. My mom's auntie passed away this morning in Tung Sin Hospital.

She has gone to the other side of the world at her 72.

I just went back from her house with my family. Will be going over tomorrow night again to attend the praying service. Funeral would be taken place on Wednesday morning. I'm not available that time coz I need to work on the mentioned date and further more according to their beliefs, the person with certain chinese zodiac sign is forbidden to attend the funeral. I'm the one with that.

So... better don't go and stay at work.

Just wanna tell her .... "Goodbye and you will always in my mind"!

Bad news

Today is Mother's Day but we actually don't have any special or dedicated celebration. Reason being we received a bad news. My mum's auntie is seriously sick. She is quite old now. The doctor advised everybody to prepare for the worst. I'm so sad.

We used to be quite close to each other while I was young. But ever since I grew up, I only get to meet her once or twice a year due to I'm busy in study and work. So, I really feel sad.... I don't know how to describe my feeling now but just try to calm myself down.....

'Somebody'.... please improve yourself

What a wonderful day. Today, i have my favourite instructor to conduct my 2 favourite class body jam and fun step in Myfitness. I really feel great.

Generally I can say that, there are 2 types of instructor there. First type refers to those who manage to motivate me to join the class, work harder and I would feel super happy after the class. Simone is in this category. Whereas the second type is those who forced me to watch the clock every single minute and non stop praying that the class could have end as soon as possible. 'Somebody' is in this category.

So, to 'somebody'..... please sharpen your skills and techniques in conducting the class and motivating the members. I wish to see more improvement. Your personality is good but your class is a disappointed one.

Recently have been based in a client place for few days. It is really a grade A++ client, which means is a super good pay master. Besides, I enjoy the working environment there very very much le!!

Time to pay the yearly ACCA subscription again

Is really not easy to maintain my ACCA membership and MIA Chartered Accountants membership. I think only the rich can afford to do so. Or may be some of the Company will subsidise their staff on this matter as a staff benefit.

I just paid my ACCA membership last week. It cost me 175 Pound Sterling ( I think is around RM1,200). MIA membership fee will due on July 1. Luckily MIA costs cheaper at RM250. Else, really broke. Besides subscription fee, we need to attend some seminar or workshop to obtain sufficient CPD hours to maintain the membership. Here I'm lucky enough that my Company acts generously in term of staff development where it will subsidise our approved workshop or seminar fee. Or else, sure very very broke!!

So, now that you know why I'll say that is not easy to maintain as ACCA and MIA membership in monetary term. Everything is money. No money, no talk.

Lunch @ Carol's Place

Happened to see these pictures in my mobile phone. Really hardly can recall when I actually have my lunch at Carol's Place. It is situated at Kuchai Lama, same row with the DBKL office.

I think I went there 2 weeks back. This place is highly recommended by Alice. That's why I decide to step in and have a try over there. Generally the food served is average in quality but the price is quite reasonable. It is an air-conditioned restaurant.

This restaurant is selling set lunch all the time. A set of meal plus a drink or dessert only cost the customers RM5.00. It's kinda cheap le. Nowadays even a simple lunch will costs us around RM3.80-RM4.00 and drinks are around RM1.60-RM2.00 averagely. So, the pricing here really shocked me. I had a chicken rice set plus a bubur chacha at RM5.00. No service tax is charged. Now that I know the reason why every lunch hour, I would notice a big crowd there. The answer is too obvious after my visit..... They are selling on an attractive pricing strategy.

Online ordering from Pizza Hut

Do you guys ever try online ordering from Pizza at at http://www.pizzahut.com.my/ ? If you never try it before, you are highly recommended to do so.

Reason? May be I should tell you guys what's the difference between online ordering and call for delivery here. I think most of us ordered pizza thru phone quite often. So I think no point for me to further elaborate on this point. But for online ordering, there is a special offer where you can buy a supreme pan pizza and get a family favourites crunchy crust pizza for free. Yeah!! Is true. I tried it for times.

My favourite is online ordering a large Island Supreme Pan Pizza and get a large Hawaiian Chicken Crunchy Crust Pizza for free. The 2 large pizza only cost me RM30.25 (including delivery charge). Really worth it. I think is worth better than call for delivery, right? Try it!!

Dim Sum @ Kam Hin Restaurant

Went to have Dim Sum with my family this morning at Kam Hin Restaurant situated at Kuchai Lama. The crowd is unbelievable. We waited for more than half an hour before to be seated.

In fact, I visited it quite often coz I love the dim sum there very much. Moreover, the price is very reasonable at RM3/= per plate. This restaurant actually occupies 4 shops but still crowded with people waiting here and there to be seated. May be, nowadays more and more people like to have dim sum as breakfast on public holiday and weekend, is a new trend here.

As usual, we tried the steamed dim sum and fried dim sum here with Chinese tea. It costs us RM63/= for 5 person. Really kinda cheap le. Must try it, if you are dim sum fans.....!!

Labour day

It is Labour day or others might prefer to call it International Workers Day. Ever since from May 1, 2004, I enjoy the mentioned public holiday very well. Or I should say that, this is the only public holiday where it comes at the right timing.

For your information, I am working in an audit firm. So, lots of people might think that I might be too busy to meet the personal income tax deadline for the client on April 30 every year and hence need a good rest on May 1. Then you are wrong!! Nothing to do with the tax filing.

Ever since the year of 2004, I've started to conduct the statutory audit for one public listed company. The deadline for the SC submission is on April 30. If happened to be late, the company will be fined for not less than RM100k and reprimanded. Luckily, we managed to file it on time again this year.

Since I can't afford to lose this bet, I was facing some invisible stress for the past few days. I even have no time to see a doctor for an medical leave due to illness. I know, I have acted extraordinary recently....... Yes, I know, I acted moody for the past few days as well!! But, I really can't control myself. My EQ is low, I know it.

Anyway, everything is over. Would like to thank the Cheng & Co. supporting team, you guys really help me a lot in this case. I can't complete the case without you all!! Thanks a lot.

Today is really a great day for me, a stressless day. Happy Labour Day to everybody. Labour Day, you really come at the right timing.
