Papa and Mama really can sing well :)

After due research and suggestion from friends, my sister and I had decided to bring my parents to Ebox Karaoke for the sing K session. Heard that this Karaoke has lots of Chinese Oldies.. you name it, they have it.

So we booked the session for 4 at RM8++ per pax for 3 hours. Once we reached there and after ordering our drinks, I checked out the song menu. Wahhh.... really very complete in term of oldies.

For the whole 3 hours session, we picked quite a lot of oldies. I sang all those songs with my parents. These are all my childhood memories. I still remember my mom loves listening and singing all these song when I was young. Anyway, I understand that now they still love listening to these songs thru Melodies Channel of Astro.

Our show time including.....

Mom's voice is so sweet..... she still can sing very very well. Dad's voice also not bad, especially when they duet... I can see the chemistry effect!!! They are so great!!

I luv' S.H.E

Went to shopping at Sungei Wang with my youngest sister today and got to know that S.H.E was holding a concert as part of their Malaysia Promo Tour activities to promote their new album at Sungei Wang itself. It would be a short duration concert of 4 songs presenting altogether with sort of signature session for those who bought their latest album.

I was not a big fan of them but ever since my sister love them very much, so we went to 4th floor of Sungei Wang to watch the show. The concert started at 8.00pm sharp... very punctual. Three of them super powerful. They are really superstar. It was really a great show. They are not only good in singing and seems that they are good in presenting themselves on the stage. All those youngsters with idolism mindset, shouted, shouted and shouted!!! Cool!!

Now I understand why this kind of promo activity is important. It is really effective in advertising and giving chance to the performers to show up their talents. Why I said so??? Coz after watching the mentioned show, they are now my best favourite!! A big jump to the 1st place on list of favourite!! Hahaha.....
Good show>>>>>

Home-typed Boutique

This is my 1st experience to shop in a home-typed boutique. It is based in a corner unit of a double storey link house in Sri Petaling. According to the signboard, the business place is named as Citrus Deign & Advertising Sdn. Bhd..

But if really compared to shopping complex, I personally prefer the later. The environment, the choice, the fashion, the quality..... so variety. And if we go shopping on mega sales season, the price is even a lot more unbelievably cheaper. But since my cousin would like to pay a visit to this kind of boutique, no harm for me to follow and this is my 1st experience to go home-typed boutique and also 1st time go shopping without buying anything.. Haha!!

A day in hair saloon....

I have been sitting in the hair saloon from 12.00pm to 5.00pm today. Yupe... is 5 hours, no joke. In this 5 hours, my hair is cut, rebonded and coloured. The package comes with 2 treatment as well. Actually I don't really go to hair saloon to do this kind of thing so often, because this thing really challenge my patience. Can you imagine, sitting there without doing anything but just waiting for people to do your hair for around 5 hours... OMG!! Upon reaching home, my family commented my hair's colour too sharp. According to them, I'm too old for this kind of colour wo.. :(

Since Christmas is just around the corner, the saloon also have some Christmas decoration. I'm sitting next to a lovely Christmas tree.

Three of Us

I really can't recall when is the last time we, the 3 sisters went shopping together. Guess should be 1 year back, if I'm not mistaken. Normally we will either go by the whole family or only 2 of us.

Three of us went to Mid Valley Mega Mall last Saturday merely for shopping and dining. My younger sis and I were doing windows shopping as usual but my elder sis did buy lots of clothes. Yeahhh... she enjoys shopping for clothes very very much.

It was really big crowd there especially in Supermarket, Fashion and all sorts of beauty salons. And guess what???? Most of the customers and visitors are Indians. Yeah.... obviously they are doing their last minutes shopping before Deepavali.

Had our dinner at Kim Garry again before we went home. Again we were only be seated after 15 minutes of long queueing. I love the food there but just not that comfortable with the environment there lo. Too noisy, too huge crowd and everything seems in rush.... So pressured to have our dinner there.... Ermmm, feels like participating in an eating competition and no time to talk and of coz the place is too noisy to chat also la. Just can't understand why so many people love that place!!

Lastly, here are some snapshot of Mid Valley with Deepavali deco....

Majlis Rumah Terbuka Sime Darby 2008

Went to the mentioned open house this evening at Sime Darby Convention Centre of Mont' Kiara with my family. As my elder sister is working with the Sime Darby Group, we are invited to it. Mont' Kiara, is such a nice place with smooth traffic and nice view.

This was my first time to SDCC. The design of the building, the view, the food, the people, everything are above my expectation. We are very full after the open house as we really ate alotttt. The food is really delicious. They served satay, char kuey teow, nasi tomato, rendang, roasted lamb, kebab, ayam kurma etc as main course. Dessert wise, they served ABC, cendol, fruit, cakes, cookies, rojak etc. Overall their food is really delicioussss... Must go again next year!! Hahaha....

The design and environment of the hall......

My favourite food, satay!!

Nice view from SDCC

Mooncake Festival

When I was just a little little girl, I always love this festival very much. I love to eat pure lotus mooncake, I love to play lantern, I love play candles with friends, I love to join family reunion dinner on this day, I love to join mooncake party celebration and the best thing I enjoy burning the lantern after the mooncake festival coz this this was the only time I can play with fire!!! Hahaha...

Oh coz this was only when I was young. This year, again I'm joining the mooncake festival party at my auntie's house. I'm no longer playing with candles , lantern ....... but look at them from the above photos, they are all my cousins and they all are my successors now!!

My new toy, DC Samsung S760

Saw an advertisement of promotion for this Digital Camera from Bintang Maju of Endah Parade. Frankly, I seldom use digital camera. Most of the time I just snapshoot everything with my mobile phone.

However since my parents are going to join a trip next month, we decided to buy them a digital camera, I mean a super user friendly digital camera. Understood la, elder ages people are quite slow in technology.

This Samsung S760 is quite user friendly and cost efficient. Since its a promotional item, I failed to negotiate further for a cheaper price. The whole package of camera set of 7.2MP, rechargeable battery and the power bank, tripod, 2 GB memory card etc only costs me RM512. I'm not sure whether it worths this price but i personnally think its quite reasonable.

OK, may be next time I can try to use this new camera for blogging

The Oil Effect...

I've gradually change my lifestyle after the rising of fuel price. Yes, I admit that the increase of fuel price did not affect me financially, directly, after taking into consideration of the RM625 cash rebate. But I'm seriously affected by the chain reaction of high oil prices. Everything in the market is expensive now. Everybody claim that due to high transportation charge, they are forced to charge higher to maintain the margin. As a conclusion, everything is increasing in Malaysia except 2 things which is our salary and Malaysia share price.

Now... I can feel the pressure financially. That's why I set up this plan for myself, a costs saving plan. Hopefully this can ease my burden more or less.

1. To maintain my Internet usage less than 60 hours per month at home, as I'm subscribing to the RM49 per month. I don't have to pay extra if I control my usage below the mentioned hours.

2. To cut down the time of cooking porridge using my mobile phone. Try to send sms than to make calls directly as sms costs a lot more lower.

3. To reduce the shopping time. This can save more as shopping always accompanied with lunch and dinner.

4. To exercise more as this can save up my medical fee and reduce the consumption of vitamins pill.

5. To reduce the usage of air-conditioner during my sleeping time. Try to on the air-cond for approximately 2 hours and once the room temperature is lowered, off the air-cond and switch to celling fan again.

6. To stop buying CDs. Just on the radio for entertainment.

So, do you guys have others great and fantastic idea to share about? Just let me know ya. Coz I really desperately searching for way to cut down my expenses le..... Thank you in advance.

Mamee Monster

Mamee monster... my childhood's favourite snack. In fact I love it until now le.... Look at the packing, so colourful and attractive. If I'm not mistaken, I bought it for 20sen during my primary school time but now it costs me 60sen from 7-11 convenience shop.

Mamee Monster always comes with some cute cute game. This is what I got in from it.

See.... cute, rite?

I'm back!!

I know it is quite some times that I didn't really update you guys on what's happening to me recently... Mmm.. coz there was no fantastic news to share about and I'm really packed and locked to my job all the time.

Trying to search thru my mobile phone to look out for some random pictures. Ya.... I've paid my first visit to the Alamanda of Putrajaya. Surprisingly, the place is bigger and more fantastic than my imagination. There are cinema, Secret Recipe, Rotiboy (my all time favourite), Chicken Rice Shop, Carrefour, Parkson, Pizza Hut, McD, Dunkin Donut etc. There was a big crowd there even on weekdays... unexpected, rite?

I personally love the bamboo sidewalk there. I feel peace in such environment but forgot to take a picture there.... :C

Credit card rewards 2008

Received the booklet for credit card rewards 2008. The gift redeemed is quite a nice one. But unfortunately those that targetted are all in the high reward points range items. In fact, all these year I only manage to redeem some dining vouchers.

I seldom charged to my credit card. Reason being I always have a tendency of not fully paying my outstanding balance in my statement. I have a very bad mindset to assume that this is a low interest financing (in fact it is not). In order to ensure that I can fully settled my statement promptly, I seldom bring my credit card along when i do my shopping.
Now I think I wanna restucture my personal finance plan. I planned to charged more on my credit card but subject to my own terms.... full settlement of the monthly statement. Coz.... I wanna redeem 'something'......

The booklet

These are my targets..... backpac and digital camera

A record of my sinful lunch

I spent my whole week doing audit in One World Hotel, next to Utama Shopping Complex. As a result, I had a rather sinful lunch there almost everyday. A lunch with super high calories....... Really regret to consume such criminally sinful lunch coz I might need to work very very hard to burn the calories again. Ohhh no!!

Nasi lemak

Fried chicken

Undi! Undi

Went to Sek. Men. Bandar Baru Seri Petaling for the voting together with my sister yesterday. I am a voter for Seputeh. So, again I am going to exercise my right as a resident of malaysia once in this five years time. Reached the place around 10.00am morning.

The school was unexpectedly packed. But I didn't see Carol Chew or Teresa Kok there. Instead, I met few friends there, Lam (Myfitness member), Yen San (collegue), my neighbour and another Myfitness's friend. Now that I know, they are all staying at Sri Petaling. The whole voting process is really a very fast one. From the 'semakan pendaftar' stage to the completion of the voting only took us less than 30 minutes although the place is crowded.

Everybody is patiently queueing up at the 'semakan pendafter' counter

Off duty from 26/2/08 to 29/2/08

I was trying to clear out my last year annual leave last week. Hence I was enjoying a 4 days annual leave continuosly. I don't have any holiday plan for those days. It just merely another few boring days for me.

Day 1 - Attended a few calls from clients. Sleep for the whole afternoon.

Day 2 - Visited to Genting Highlands with family by bus and skyway. Lose few hundreds dollars during gambling time in the casino. But there was a funny experience where the casino guard requested to check my IC for age verification before I'm allowed to enter into the casino area. Haha... this means that sometimes I really looked younger than 21.

From the skyway.....

Day 3 - Another sleeping day.

Day 4 - Went to Genting Highlands again. Contributed another few hundreds dollars to the casino operator. So heartache!!

In the skyway....

What a boring holiday!!

If I'm given a chance, I rather not to have this lunch...

Went to have lunch at hawker centre of Lot 10 with both of my sisters. The reason of going such far away for a simple lunch at a hawker centre is solely due to we have RM80.00 worth of meal voucher which is going to be expired at the end of February.

How I got this vouchers? Actually this is a voucher for the shareholders. Yes, I am a shareholder of few of the YTL group of companies..... So sad. The capital depreciation of the share price is more than 50%. So, by now you guys should know my situation better. Yeas, I am forced to hold their shares. No chances for speculation at all. I rather to have capital gain than to have lunch at Lot 10. Anyway, we, the three sisters still enjoy the lunch very much and we even manages to pack some food for my mom and dad.
